New York Press Club Honors Shelly Strickler, Mitch Lebe

Shelly Strickler thanks the New York Press Club for honoring her with the President’s Award.

Inner Circle members Shelly Strickler and Mitch Lebe were honored Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013 at the New York Press Club’s Journalism Conference. Each received an award for outstanding careers in journalism.

Shelly received the President’s Award for blazing a trail for women in radio. She spent more than a quarter of a century as an anchor and reporter at WOR Radio in NYC, often covering the big stories and winning numerous awards along the way.

Mitch was inducted into the New York Press Club’s Hall of Fame.  New Yorkers have been listening to Mitch on the radio for 55 years. He’s worked for every radio outlet in the city and currently anchors and reports for 24/7 NewsSource.
